I think there may be a little wear on that coin. I'll let the graders say for sure.

It does look better in the video, though. I should have watched that first maybe?

Interesting, I wonder what wears off first... the cartwheel luster or the high points of the coin? I have a lot of quarters with cartwheel luster that I might need to inspect if that's the case!

luster is always the first to go because luster is the effect created by the first few microns of the surface of the coin. In fact one of the best ways to tell if a coin has wear or if it was just weakly struck is to look for luster!

I think this grades at AU-55, possibly AU-58, but there are traces of wear on the high points.

I'm at a 55. High points of wings show wear, numerous dings.
