Hello, I am new here; I am from Venezuela, actually, I'm living at Quito, Ecuador.
I have a mule error nickel: it has the Jefferson face on both sides. The coin has the following characteristics: the obverse was minted with 1999-P Jefferson face, and the reverse was minted with 2001-P Jefferson face. I will be very grateful, if someone of you can give me an estimate of the valor of this coin.
Thanks a lot.

I moved your post to the appropriate section for the proper attention.

Its most likely a Magicians coin.

Pictures of the coin would be helpful, both sides and the edge.

@joscolm, first welcome to CCF. Second, as fuzzy mentioned, these typically end up being Magician's coins, where one coin is hollowed out and the other is shaved down so that it fits into the first. These pieces are neat so worth keeping, but have no numismatic value.

Hey those are great pics. Thanks for posting them. If you look at about 10 or 11 o'clock on the 2001 side, you can see the slight seam where this half of the Magician's coin joins to the other half. It is a neat piece and worth keeping.

Late to the game here,!

If you look closely at pic of coin between fingers. Thumb side, right around the rim (TRUST)you'll see the cut seam. The upper section is shaved in half and no rim fits inside the milled out bottom half. Older ones had two ground down half coins glued together!

They are still being made and can be purchased two-heads or two-tails I 1c, 5, 10c, 25c, 50c and even a Susan B Anthony $1. Few years ago a full set Heads or tails cost $79.95!
