Lucky Cuss Pillar of the Community United States 4883 Posts	Posted 07/25/2017 5:37 pm Only the circumstances under which I came across this merits posting it, the condition being toward the low end of the scale. As part of the small group of otherwise modern coins I selected, this ended up setting me back a whole 10¢. I believe it to be an antoninianus of Gallienus, although I haven't made a precise catalog identification. Looks to possibly be Fortuna holding a rudder on the reverse. The color is rather more brassy than the dark bronze hue you normally see, for which I have no explanation. Colligo ergo sum Report this Post to the Staff

I love poor condition ancients, and the challenge they present to fully attribute. That way, you can buy 'em cheap, and increase their value with the attribution.
