It doesn't look shelf like in hand, but I just wanted to check with y'all. Variety Vista lists a DDO 001,but no picture.Mr.Wexler doesn't list a DDO for a '77.
What do you think?

I don't see anything like a doubled die.

I looked at it for a long time -- went away to rest my eyes and came back -- and I still don't see it.

Okay, I see what you're looking at. I think it does appear to have a bit of something extra there but I think that is just the result of Die Deterioration. I see a lot of faint die flow lines radiating outward and that's a sign that it is worn. This coin might have been made at the beginning of the Late Die State (LDS).

I hope someone can confirm that....

Anyway, good eye for spotting that. I'm sure you'll find lots of good stuff with your attention to detail.

Ok, I see that as well,it does appear to have doubling.I do not believe it is a DD, I also think it is a Die Deterioration.

I have seen this on a lot of Kennedy halves, but they have that shelf look to them at all angles. What caught My eye was, this one,it has a 'round' edge,no shelf to it,and you can only see it at one angle.Turn the coin slightly, and the effect seems to disappear.Dunno,I'll throw it in the odd-ball pile. Thanks anyhow!
Rest in Peace

No harm in keeping it. The only other thing I could suggest -- if you're willing -- is to send it to CONECA so an expert can see it in hand.
