Looking at this raw Gettysburg (yes, Moxking, I know I'm doing a bad thing ;) )

Anyone want to venture what grade it would hit? Any problems that you can see?

Awesome Beefer! Guess AU55 here
edit: let's go AU58 as I bet it looks better in hand and only the highest points of wear seem to be cabinet wear. ( The bands that hold the bundle of sticks together and cheek, jaw and below the collar on the Union soldier seem to have some rub.)

Your images appear to reveal wear/rub on the high points of the obverse and reverse. A grade in the AU range appears appropriate.

It's an attractive example!

These are the sellers images, as I'm still debating on it. I'm thinking somewhere between AU50 to AU55, and with some luck, AU58

I'll start with authentic ... which is not the case with many raw classic silver commemorative out there!

I'm agreeing with AU something ... a nice attractive example.

I, personally, don't like the looks of the dark "specks" among the lettering on both sides of this coin.

nns-52 I see what you're talking about. I spoke with the auctioneer, and those are toning spots, not dirt or carbon or whatever. I am cautious with they're photos, but I've learned how to read them pretty well, and the coin looks pretty good to me. I think I'll take a chance on it.

Looks nice to me - perhaps slightly mishandled, AU-58.

Mishandling rather than circulation, AU-58. You've heard my opinions Beefer, and that's all I can do. This just barely moves into AU. ANACS would probably 64 this one.

Note the center of the obverse and reverse for the easiest places to spot rub. Especially on the center of the reverse.

No hint of cleaning or dipping.

At this rate you'll have your set done before I do (still need 3).

Sold for $390, which I felt was bit over what it is worth. There will be others...
