No more Half Dimes!. Onto another tough type, the Twenty Cent

These are very tough to find with original surfaces...next to Seated $1 and classic head large cent, I'd say this is the toughest coin in the 7070

What do you think of this 20 cent piece? even with that rim issue, probably the most decent one I have come across that isn't nearly $1000. As always, big thanks to all of the help

I like the circulation cameo. I really think you should consider staying at a 40 or 45. That's before the monster price jumps, but after this example that is nice, but not drool inspiring.

I preach again to buy what you fall in love with. The rest are just cheap dates.

I was looking at this coin which is offered for about $200. It is in a TPG problem holder but it looks nice to me. The coin has a return privilege. I don't have any interest in this coin and I can send you the listing if you are interested. I think it looks AU and would probably sell for twice this amount in a straight holder. It does not belong to me and I do not know the seller.

vf-25. Ho hum for me on the eye appeal. They're really not that hard to find with original skin. Heritage has some nice examples coming up for auction in November. Also if there is ED, I'm failing to see it. I think that is a Cud @6 on the reverse.

Agree with Mike that these aren't as difficult as they are made out to be. They are pricey but not hard to find nice. I'm not sold though that the rim issue on the reverse at 6:00 is a Cud and that would be a distractor for me. I agree with the VF-25 grade.

On another one, there is no way you need to spend nearly $1000 for an example of this type. It's taken me over 25 years to tackle my type set and I'm still working on it. I still don't have some common dates like the 1853-55 Seated dime with arrows variety even though there are plenty of examples. Agree with Moxking's advice to take your time and find coins that you fall in love with but I'll also add to try to avoid common dates. I'd much rather wait and save up for a Philadelphia issue Twenty Cent Piece from 1875 or 1876 which are much less common and will be in more demand if you need to liquidate. My 20c worth

VF 20 I like the eye appeal and the coin looks orginal. The rim ding on reverse is a little distracting.

I am trying to get one with original color and full liberty. Pretty tough to find. Numismatic- that would be nice of you, I cant seem to see where the details comes into play with the piece you are showing.

I would go VF20 on this. It's got nice eye appeal but you should be able to get into a certified XF40 for $300 or under if you look long enough.

I do agree the 20c piece is a tough 7070 coin in nice grades.
