All feedback is greatly appreciated and if anyone has request for more pics let me know. In order from top to bottom I put a close up of the obverse side and edge, an obverse side and edge with more coin and PCGS case showing, the reverse side and edge up close and a fuller picture of the reverse. Thanks again!

If I follow correctly, you are saying that this is silver and not clad? While I doubt that PCGS would have overlooked that, it is not out of the realm of possibility. However, I highly doubt that this is silver. The only way to really find out is breaking it out of the slab and performing tests. Weight would be the first. I think it is what it is attributed as. You could try the tissue test. It does work through plastic.

Well thank you by the way for telling me about the tissue test but it only looks kinda orange from the toning of the coin.

Also from what I understand they plucked this coin straight off the line in 1965 and put it in a case. I'm just wondering if they were really busy that day and didn't realize what they did wrong cause there should be copper on the edge and I am a realist. I ignored my mother's please about this coin being real but three or four months later I'm actually paying attention to what she says. When I search the coin on the PCGS website they say this is a SPS or something like that?

If you really think this is that rare coin, break it open and check the weight.
A silver dime would weigh 2.50 grams while a clad would weigh 2.27 grams.

With the copper color on the reverse, it tells me it is a clad coin. Dimes were either 90% silver on pre-1965 dimes. Yours is a cladded coin. If anything it might be a reverse missing clad? Not a silver coin.

Alright I will break it open soon but I'm gonna wait until I can break it in front of an authorized dealer so they can see if this is possibly real or not. Thank you for the heads up and what I need to do. I will post picks and a vid for the outcome. Thanks again.

Well this is the reverse and I definitely don't see any popper but I know I'm not that fluent in coinage so you could be right but it just seems like you would see copper on the edge and the only reason you see anything resembling copper is because I took that pick on a brown table or a red car but here's a pic of the reverse

The only reason I am having a hard time deciding to break it open is because then it won't have it's mS66 rating. Or at least that's what PCGS says. Plus with it being rated already you would think they wouldn't miss a missing clad. But I really appreciate your help! This coin is so rare like I said I'm having a hard time getting anyone to even look at it lol. But if it was a real silver mS66 from 1965 it would be worth so much that wouldn't even want to sale it. Thanks again and I will post my outcome. It is very helpful being apart of a great coin community as I am always googling and reading things that just happen to pop up from the search and it's usually this forum 90% of the time.
