There's not many more obvious than this one on wheat cents Mark. My pics might not be the best but this one is very easy to identify.

Congrats! I have seen a few wheats come up in this forum that are DDR and for the life of me I cannot see it. I wouldn't know what to look for; it is hard enough for me with LMC's. I am glad Mark asked and you explained it because it is really helpful for those of us taking notes.

No problem. I was talking more about DDRs on wheat cents earlier. There's not many major ones that I know of.

Here are a few listings on Variety Vista: http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20...R%201934.htmWith the flattening it makes it harder to see what is doubling and what is flattening. But they show more die stages and you might find a matching marker to tell what die stage it was when it was struck?

The thicker wheat stems will usually jump out at you when examining them in hand and the dots are dead give away most of the time. They will look oblong, nice find congrats!
