This coin shines with a blue tone. Its hard to see from the pics, especially on the Reverse side.

Grade please?

Also, does anyone know how a blue-ish tone would wind up on this coin.

Thanks to all.

Mid-AU. It is not unusual for new or nearly-new copper coins to take on different color hues depending on their storage and surrounding environment.

The hue this example exhibits seems very even on both sides. It reminds me of the farthings from the early part of the 29th century that The Royal Mint deliberately toned to a dark blue color. I think it could go MS (especially in this era of "market" grading) but the number of contact marks would drag it down into the lower end of that range.

55. Color is unusual, but can result from sulfur contact found in many paper and cardboard materials.

I see wear on the king's hair, eyebrow, crown. Scratches on reverse. I would agree with EF-AU.

Lucky Cuss: Can you please sell me some coins from the 29th Century...Is Buck Rogers on them? Oh no wasn't he the 23rd century? Star Trek the NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEXT Generation maybe>
