This 1990 Eagle says 1 oz silver on back but gold in color why? Looks like he paid 10 bucks , who knows when. Worth anything ?

Gold plated. Adds no value, but silver content is still worth $17 and change.
Rest in Peace

I think the Home Shopping Network was selling gold plated coins for awhile. The amount of gold used is so small that it would cost more to recover it that it is worth, but they tried to make it sound like they were a good investment.

It's still worth the value of the silver and if you like it, keep it.

Yep, most would consider this Post Mint Damage ( PMD), but a free ounce of silver is always a score! I wouldn't purchase it but if it fell into my lap I'd probably keep it and put it in a spare hole in an ASE album.
