nickel I found in a parking lot two nights ago. it's nothing special, a little scuffed & nicked, definitely a spender, but also shows what I think is DDD... outside abraded die doubling?

the 'doubling' shows up really well around the date and all lettering, shows a little less around jefferson and monticello, but it's there, the enlarged, irregular outlines around the devices, indicating extensive wear in the fields, can also see die polishing lines in places.

Machine doubled, LDS (Late-Die-State) and PSD damaged. A three time looser.

No, it's still worth five cents. On the other hand, what is five cents worth?
