It looks to have AU55 sharpness and I love the eagle on the reverse - really brilliant. I see what the poster above said about the extensive hairlining on the coin which I think should details the coin. Another thing I don't like for a coin this high grade is that all the stars aren't struck up sharply. Beautiful eagle though...

Yes, I am agreeing on this, this is the most challenging series to find original coins in. The majority of AU double dimes seem to have hairlines for some reason. If it's not a weak strike, then it is non original. Challenging yet still fun.

AU something. Love the reverse, dislike the obverse.
There are plenty of these available in AU. I'd recommend waiting for one that is beautiful both sides.

AU Details Cleaned - Too many hairlines for my taste.
It is a hard coin to find an original 20 cent piece with strong eye appeal and no issues as so many of these coins have been cleaned or dipped. When you find that special one in AU condition, you are going to pay a little extra.
