In the news is a story about a new Viking silver horde including hundreds of coins. Most of the coins were from the time of the Viking King Bluetooth (yes, the device is named after him). Amazing find but I would have kept my mouth shut about it. It will all end up in a museum. I bet the kid gets very little if anything.

Unless some true heirs of the King Bluetooth come forward and can prove both heredity and the provenance of the goods, the treasure belongs one half to the discoverer, and the other half to the landowner, per German law.

Every time I read about finds like this makes me so jealous that I will never find anything like that in the U.S.

Sorry, I didn't see that post in the main coin forum. I looked in this forum, where I felt the story belonged, and saw nothing about it, so I posted it here. I guess I should have searched "bluetooth" before I posted.
