Last night I watched a recorded episode of Timeless ( a show that absolutely drives me nuts, I watched them all but I don't know why? ) and it was about a young JFK who is taken to the future in the Time Machine to present day. He learned of his future and of the "family curse". He learned he would become President one day and a young girl gave him a 1964 Kennedy half to look at. When he was in present day harms way, and just about to be killed well before his time, the coin was shown as it transformed into a 1964 Nixon Half Dollar. This is an actual picture I found and caught for less than a half second on a yoooo tooobe sneak peek. I would say it is BU. I wish I would have not deleted the episode now, I could have grabbed a shot of the Nixon dollar off my TV in pause. Well, if the writers really wanted to be numismatically correct, it should have morphed into a 1964 Franklin half. Think about it.

But if JFK were pulled into the present, from some time prior to him being elected president, and killed "now", then someone else would have taken his place in the 1960 election and may have lost against Nixon. Nixon might then have died in office some time prior to 1964.
Time travel is tricky.

I saw that episode and noticed the same things. Quote:Well, if the writers really wanted to be numismatically correct, it should have morphed into a 1964 Franklin half. Think about it. Not necessarily, what if Nixon were the one assassinated and he was just as popular as Kennedy (do not laugh)? Quote: Yes - time travelers, please meet here last Thursday at 8pm. Professor Hawking? I thought you had passed away.

At least the correct way to hold a coin was shown.

Of course, they probably did it more for showing the image than knowing it was correct.

If I remember correctly, the Nixon image sort of morphed in a way like the old celluloid film would burn on the projector when things went wrong at the movies. It was a poor depiction of Tricky Dick. It happened quickly. If I get a chance, I will find it and post a picture. It will show up on the internet eventually. Now if were only last Thursday again, I will not delete the episode when I get done watching it.

Since it is only possible to "time travel" to the past, the Benjamin Half should be the most correct answer. javascript:insertsmilie(' ')

Much easier to time travel into the future, we do it all the time. The problem is it's very difficult to do it in more than one second intervals.
