Hello everyone. This is my first ever, post on a forum. I hope I am doing it correctly...I am a military brat, originally from Southern California. My dad was an avid collector, mostly stamps, but after he passed, my mom found these really cool coins stashed away in a box in his office. They are from all around the world. The trouble is, I am having a really hard time figuring out what some of them are. Some were way easy, since the country was written right ON the coin for me! Others, well, not so much. How many coins have Queen Elizabeth II on them anyway? I am so very confused! Anyone interested in seeing some cool older coins? The only "catch" is you will have to help me figure out how to post pictures on this site...I'm not very computer savvy either...thanks for reading my very long post. I hope I am not scaring everyone away!

I would suggest you start here: numista.com and if you still have trouble identifying then post pics here.
Don't sell (if that's what you are thinking) until you know exactly what you have.

and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to post the pictures in the beginning. The optimizer helped. Good luck!

to the forum. I did a quick search on Numista for Elizabeth coins. I came up with 9710. Now, some of those will be Elizabeth I. But the vast, vast majority are Elizabeth II. I'm sure there are other coins out there too that haven't made it into the Numista catalog.
