Grading Help For 1914-D Quarter Eagle

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6396 Posts	Posted 05/03/2018 12:06 am Light wear puts it somewhere in the AU range. A few hits and scratches but nothing that qualifies as a problem. Not worth paying a fee to have it graded IMO. A Cointains holder would provide good protection. I like the plastic Eagle holders as well. Report this Post to the Staff
Zurie Pillar of the Community United States 5682 Posts	Posted 05/03/2018 12:17 am I think too much wear on the headdress for AU, I'd say XF-45. Gold is pretty inert, so any holder that protects the surfaces from scratches would work fine. No need to worry about toning. Report this Post to the Staff
