Found this stage-A 1956 LWC DDR-007 in a B/U roll just now. Nice early die stage with the die crack in the hair only just starting to show. The parallel die scratches between the R and I of PLURIBUS are the main marker for stage A. Seemed like a good example of a class 6 DDR to put up.

Thanks ya'll! I haven't had much time to do images lately, and well most of what I am finding right now are just RPMs filling in holes in the collection so generally don't post those anyway. But I like this DDR and it looked like a great example coin for what to look for on these so I put it up.

Variety Vista shows this one a DDR-007
http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20L...6PDDR007.htm
With the crack they are listing it as a Stage C. But they may have missed it on the Stage 'A and B'? It looks like a Stage between the A & B as the die scratches are fresh on the 'B' on PLURIBUS. They show it missing on A and weak on Stage 'B'. You might send them images of what you posted to see if they want to see it or not?

I found the VV site listing for DDR-007 to be far less helpful than the one for WDDR-001 on doubleddie.com The VV listing has images that just don't show what are obvious die markers on the coin and which are clearly photographed and listed in the text on the Wexler site. I generally like VV because of the number of images available for each coin but in this case doubleddie.com really made it easy. On DD.com it is stage-A and just looking at it I think it is one of the earlier examples of the DDR so just went with EDS as wasn't entirely sure. Either way, I do think VV could use to update the plate coin for this DDR and show some of the die markers.

Text them images and see what they say. The coin is in better condition that all the rest they posted so far.
