Given the rarity involved, I'm 99.8% certain this coin is a replica but since they were struck in pewter, silver and brass -- and mostly because I have zero experience with this type of coin -- I figured I'd ask for some confirmation here. Thank you.

I'm no expert, but I would bet the farm on this being a fake.

Poorly done, cast copy you have. I believe that most of these were made back in the 1960's and were commonly sold as souvenirs at tourist sites.

Hey, thanks everyone! My sister found this one buried under the floorboards of her house which was built in 1769, so it wasn't beyond the realm of possibility, but as I told her, almost certainly a fake. Good to have confirmation. Thanks again.

@Shenandoah1, yes it is good to get confirmation here at CCF. For me, the visible parting line along the edge is the proof that this isn't real.

I know this sounds insulting, so forgive me in advance, but does your sister have a history of trying to scam money out of you? This "My sister found this one buried under the floorboards of her house which was built in 1769" stuff is something commonly seen on ebay. To be honest, it creates a disconnect that makes my brain hurt. Did somebody intentionally bury an obvious fake under the floorboards of this 1769 house? Or... ?
