It looks like a great example of a peeled lamination flaw. Nice! How much does it weigh?

It is a lamination. Note the 'E' on ONE? It it were damage, then the ghost image would not be there. It would have been flattened. (Another crime scene evidence to consider) so it is a lamination. The metal peeled off the coin, not smashed into the coin. Also if it had been smashed into the coin, then the obverse would show flattening. This is also an event that didn't happen.

It is a learning process. You won't forget this now. This is kind of like detective work. You know this and that, but something new will come in to expand what you've already learned.

That's right Coop. Everything is a learning process. I even still learn new things everyday.

This is quite wide for a cent lamination. It is also deeper than most. It has added value but there is no way to put an amount on it.

So it weighed out to 3.1g but wanted to teater over to 3.0 a few times. So in short; missing a little weight, but I need a more sensitive scale!

Thanks for the weight. I would have thought more weight than that would have been knocked off. Maybe it was a bit heavy to start with.
