I'm a new, young collector here. Over the past few months I've started buying coins instead of just picking from change. I've put together a set of 1953-1967 pennies: It feels really good to have this all put together, now I'll work on other denominations

Congrats! and I'm a new-ish (returning) collector and working on a penny collection myself. I have 1937-2012, but am still working on the large cents and early small cents. Message me your mailing address and I'll send you some of my doubles from King George VI pennies for free.

Congratulations on completing your targeted set... It looks fantastic and I love your presentation with the printed labels and staple free flips. Although, you will find that you never really complete it You will want to add from 1968-2012... or add Varieties... or push back in time from Elizabeth to George VI or George V even to the Vickies. While it is more difficult to get older higher grade coins in change and impossible to get Canadian pennies these days, don't discount checking your change. You will occasionally find the odd MS or near MS contemporary coin in change; you don't have to buy everything. Welcome to the hobby.

Congrats, this is a fun set to work on. A complete set is do-able. There are a ba-zillion varieties but you could easily put together a very large collection with the different dates. You may have to put out a bit of money for the couple key dates and could settle for nice circulated earlier issues.
If you can tackle that, it wouldn't be terribly difficult to do the large cents as well.

Nice looking collection! Good work.
I would just keep on expanding your cent collection instead of going to other denominations. Dates and then varieties.

Thanks for the support everyone. I will definitely work on the 1968-2012 pieces at some point.
Also it seems some people think I'm new to the forum. Actually I've been here for a few months. When I said I was a new collector I meant it in the relative sense, as I know many people here have been collecting for years or even decades.
