Thank you jbuck! The Kennedy, which by the way is number 8 in the series and not number 9 as I previously stated, did not arrive today as I hoped it would. Ahh, but tomorrow is another day

The last coin that I've been waiting for from the Sunoco series arrived this afternoon

Number 8 in the series, president Kennedy. And that completes the Sunoco 2000 10 coin presidential series coins. Hey, I finally completed something

I didn't realize that it's been 6 months since I last posted anything here. I've been busy trying to complete some albums.

Ok, I'm not a big fan of using color in coins and surely wouldn't buy one. However, a dear friend of mine sent me this one so I thought I'd share. Oh, it looks a lot better in hand and I've learned that it even more difficult to take pictures of coins with color. As if plain coins aren't difficult already.

Thank you for looking!

Congrats on completing the Sunoco set Toot! Also - I like the new one even though I typically don't like colored coins either. The Great Seal is my favorite modern coin designs. I think it apropos for the JFK half and the President Trump medal - same mindset behind both men.

An election held over half a century ago already....

The campaign turned on a very famous and powerful television ad that ended with film footage of a rising mushroom cloud, the implication being that Goldwater couldn't be trusted to have his finger on the button.

Aluminum in composition, a bit over 39 mm in diameter.
