Hi--Im new to forum. I collected coins as a teen(Now 54) and I just started looking at them again. I noticed I have a few real good errors and a Mercury dime 1944 S with Full Bands. Ive heard the ones with full bands are worth some big $ , Is that true?--I will load Image if someone would be kind enough to confirm.

Welcome! Yes, FB designation is worth more that not having it, but to get into really "big bucks" on that date would require MS68, which is pretty tough. 1944-S MS67 FB on Heritage have been going for under $200.

Center band isn't split. Like the coin tho, good strike. Good pix too for your first ones!

Mikey , hate to burst your bubble ,but that is not Full Bands . All 3 horizontal sets of lines need to be split with no interruptions . Your center line doesn't show at all and the top and bottom sets leaves little to be desired . However the coin in general is a nice strike probably 64 or 65 .

To bad about that middle band. That is the one that is almost always the one that needs to be split to make it a FSB or full split band coin. Still it does look nice.
