Seeing the possible designs for the last six ATB Quarters got me wondering how everyone is doing with their sets? Do you collect from circulation, and if so, how many have you found? What about proof sets, silver proofs, uncirculated S-mint quarters, and ATB pucks? I am working on the Dansco 8146 and 8147 (P&D, proof, silver). I'm up to date on most of the P&D's (except a few from 2012) but have yet to get the pre-2016 proofs. I originally collected the ATBs from circulation but could not find many of the D quarters, especially 2013 and earlier. If I did, they were usually worn or marked.

I have two more coins to go to finish 1965-2017 from circulation. I still need Gettysburg P and Olympic P. I have gone through about $2200 in quarters to get this far. Maybe the next roll will do it!

ATB? I'm still working on upgrading my set of Statehoods!
(A lot of mint state early-years are finding their way into circulation now. Down from a prevalence of 2005-2006 a few years ago. It's odd. Collection dumps being year-restrictive and such.

I can proudly say its not going at all. My clads stop at 2009 with both mint and proofs 1964-2009. Any more is cost prohibitive, besides, the ATBs are equated to the Sacageweas/Native Americans, all above 2009.

This is what my set looks like: I still need several years worth of the 50 States silver proofs for my album, so I won't be starting ATBs until that's finished. Then, I will most likely start slowly working on a silver proof ATB album as an aside.

Although I don't go out of my way to look for all the quarters, when I get a nice example of one I save it and have managed to get all the states except Washington D.C. and American Samoa. I've also gotten all the ATB Quarters, even 2 of the 2018's, except Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and Mt. Hood. They are from the first year of issue, but somehow I haven't come across any of them. I guess I'll just keep checking my change until they show up.

Historically I collect from circulation, but the ATB Quarters seem hard to come by so I buy the circulating quarter set from the mint every year.

I know I'm reviving a two year old thread, but given that the ATB series is ending in nine months and the quarantine has (hopefully) given us more time to spend with and evaluate our collections, I'm curious to see if anyone has status updates on their ATB sets? I'm finally up-to-date on all the P-D-S (unc.) through 2019, and I have all the proof and silver proof coins from 2016-2020. Other than finishing out the 2020 and 2021 issues, I just need to go back and get the pre-2016 proof/silver proof coins and the 2010 satin finish coins. I'm still on the fence about including the W quarters. If I eventually add them, it won't be until prices one day (hopefully) become reasonable. I also hope Dansco fulfills their promise of making page(s) for the unc. S-mint issues. Time will tell...

@CollegeBarbers, my "from circulation" collection still needs some rounding out; I'm missing a quarter here and there over the past few years. Currently that is housed in a P&D Whitman album. I think I will buy a box or two of quarters from the bank to round out that set, look for W, S-business, proofs, and upgrades once the series comes to a conclusion.
I have all the Proof, Uncirc and Silver Proof quarters from Mint sets in duplicate, so when the series is over I will likely crack sets from each year to start a PPDDSS "master set". I have very few of the S business strikes, if any, nor any of the W quarters. It's going to be quite the process ($) for that bad boy, especially to get them in mint state.
Thanks to subscriptions I also will have a complete collection of the 3-coin sets for each quarter and the 5-oz pucks.
I'd say I'm in pretty good shape.
It's been a fun series but I'll be glad when it's over.

In addition to pulling from circulation, this has been my goal as well. I receive mine through the proof set and uncirculated coin sets I purchase each year. The San Francisco business strike ones I get through a subscription. I do not look for nor have any of the West Point business strikes.

I have my State Quarters P+D completed with nice examples from circulation, S mint in their proof sets still. as far as ATB I am current up to some of the Ds from last year and this year. I don't do the S mint, but likely will get them all in one shot once it's finished if I get around to it. I'm not to keen on it because they don't start at the beginning of the series. Same thing for Proofs here, still in the sets. I liked hunting the P+D from circulation.

I have the ATB in silver all through 2019. I have them in PCGS 69 except for the 2019 which is just the silver proof set. I have the P&D for each through 2018. Working on getting P&D for 2019 as I am trying to locate some P&D for 2019 in UNC condition.

I have the Dansco 7145 P&D album. It is missing just 1 D from 2018 and 1 D from 2019 through 2019. I also have separate P and D maps (it's fun to fill these also). I am missing a few from each map but I will get them eventually. Most of the coins in the Dansco and the maps were obtained from circulation. I purchase 1 silver proof set each year (back to 1999) but I don't break these up. I don't get the regular proof set nor the uncirculated set (but I have a couple of these). I have been buying 2 of each of the S mint circulation strike quarters of each design from a local dealer. I have all of these through 2018 so far. I have been thinking about putting these in a separate book but they are still in 2x2's so far. I have found a couple W quarters by luck. I would like to get all of these but I will wait until the price is more normal. I wonder if after this ATB run is done if they will start over with a new run of ATB Quarters. Hmmm...

Hahaha. I still have many passes of coins from circulation. I hope that I can quarantine my album. P.S. I didn't think that there are many people who collect Proof and silver coins.
