I just came across this coin the other day and I was curious if it was authentic or not and if so how much it would be worth. I know it was minted in Carson City and was the first of its kind there but that's all I know! If anyone could enlighten me on this coin I would appreciate it very much! In addition, the dark artificial toning is characteristic of a Chinese manufactured replica coin. The toning and manufactured "wear" is designed to fool and defraud the casual collector.
