My step son called me about an hour and a half ago and said that as he was skating downtown he found an entire roll of silver dimes on the sidewalk. Immediately I asked him to bring them to me so I can see what he had found. Well low and behold, 20 Roosevelt dimes 1945-1952 and 30 Mercury dimes 1918-1945. The condition of the Roosevelts range from good to fine and the Mercs also range from good to fine. I apologize for the lousy pictures! My iPad does not do pics well at all. I'll try to get some pics of individual coins with the microscope tomorrow. Edited by Tootallious 07/05/2018 12:24 am

Thanks guys! He told me that he thought someone's backpack was open because there were a few artical a of clothing, a deck of cards, and some deodorant sprawled about along with the dimes. When he told me that he would take $5 for the roll I handed him $8. Maybe I should of told him how much there really worth. NOT

Split the value with your stepson, since no ID to find the person who lost these.

Quote: Split the value with your stepson I thought about that but considering that he is 28 and owes me several hundred dollars I decided that the $8 I gave him was fair and he still owes me several hundred dollars!

Holy cow! I'd like to play cards with that dummy who lost his shirt. You could tell who lost the roll, it's the guy with a bad smell at the table.

Come on, guys:
Have a little sympathy for the poor person who lost them. It may have been a failed robbery for all we know.

Quote: Have a little sympathy for the poor person who lost them. Absolutely! And if I was 100% sure of said person I would absolutely return them. perhaps karma paid him back for something bad that he had done and karma paid me for back for something good that I had done! because I'm never bad ya know

Wow! Hopefully they were on their way to the bank and you just bypassed the CRH step.
