silver has been sideways for a year now, it is a o.k. time to buy, just make sure you aren't paying a high premium, if you can buy silver for spot price(junk silver), or maples and eagles for a buck or two over spot then you will be o.k. for the long run.. Don't expect to make a profit from these purchases until the bullion markets start moving up..and that is a question no one has the answer to..
P.s. can you please stop talking as if you were the cat,, it is very annoying.. if I have to be the one telling you . so be it..
But it is like a 8 year old talking in a 3rd person perspective , to a bunch of much older people.. Not cool..
Meow, I am no PM specialist, but will tell you what has put me on the winning side of silver purchases in my life.
And I will just make a statement without saying anything favorable to either side b/c I don't want to be political. But during my many years of being into coins and watching silver go up and down, I have found dominant left politics in power makes people buy PMs so silver/gold go up. Politics on the right makes people more willing to diversify and silver/gold go down.
I know there are many who follow the market a lot closer and will tell you the situation is a lot more difficult than that - and they are likely correct. But this general rule of thumb has helped me to generally make decisions I do not regret after the passage of time. On rare occasions in my life the economy has changed from an unexpected "outside source" despite what the powers-that-be held as their goals - hence the prices went opposite direction from what the prices had been trending.

Ignore him. We're just going to call him Wolfie from now on.
I too found it an affectation and so I started (gently) tugging Meow's tail. Except you have never once slipped and ask intelligent if novice questions. You seem to appreciate the help and learn from it.
My four like you - when she-who-must-be-obeyed is not home I sometimes read your questions to them. Beethoven (the big grey male squirrel) rubs up against my leg in approval.
I've even found myself looking for your questions to read to them when I'm too busy to read everything.

Well, it's not exactly my cup of tea, so to speak, either
But, it's not illegal, immoral or unethical and there are plenty of other things in life that annoy me more than this
Looks like this persona makes MeowtheKitty happy, and new collectors are welcome in my opinion. Personally, I enjoy trying to help them out with whatever knowledge I've managed to accumulate over my 40+ years in this hobby. I can overlook their quirks and hope they can overlook any they think I may have as well
Well Meow was in the beginning thinking how great it was how friendly, and helpful people here where. But More than a few Cat haters, and ones that have made Meow feel unworthy of being a coin collector. If you did not read this topic Meow made asking what people liked about higher end holders. This is a topic has surely made Meow's claws come out, and feel Meow had to defend Meowself for asking a simple question. http://goccf.com/t/326075&whichpage=1
Don't start shedding cat - even I thought that comment was in poor taste and should have been thought through as to be smart enough not to post. You'll be fine.
