While roll searching I came across this 1970 S with a funny twist, at least by todays standards. It has Abe and John F. facing each other. When is the last time we've seen a Republican and a Democrat face each other without a fight! I know this is a novelty cent but thought I would share it nonetheless! May God Bless America!

It is all in fun. No statement for or against anyone. I just thought it funny. Crazyb0, if you think I need to take it down I sure will.

Not so strange considering these two patriotic presidents. These pennies were sold all over the place in the 60s and 70s. The coincidental comparisons between both of these great leaders' deaths was the key marketing point.

I remember back in the day when they were making comparisons with Kennedy and Lincoln.

Even coins were struck like this and sold. Anything for someone to cash in on sad events.

Is there glue on the obverse on the half dollar? The lower half of the half looks like half of it has glue on that quarter of the the lower half on the half dollar. (five times use 'half' in that sentence)
