Ran across this guy going through a roll. My research brought me to this:

Thoughts?

That's actually called a Rim Fin. Nice find and congratulations! http://www.error-ref.com/finning/

Called a tilted die strike, will cause extra pressure to form up the collar on the indented side.

That a tilted die error

The raised area is called a fin. Most of the time they are very thin.

The thin fins flatten during the rollong of coins.
This one I would save as it is a wider fin than normal and still in tack.

@Chronoswiss, nice Rim Fin! Worth putting in a 2x2 I think.

Defiantly a cool example of a raised fin. The cause of breech may be one already mentioned. Curious if reverse or edge shows anything out of norm, also if diameter stays true to 19.05mm? Thanks, Doug.

Definitely 2x2 worthy. It's a good example!
