On CCF, Roosevelt dimes are considered Modern coins, so I moved your post to the appropriate section for the proper attention.

EDIT - looks like environmental toning. They may be metal detecting finds.

I agree w/Fuzzy. Looks like someone's dirtfishing finds. I dig a lot of those red ones.

Both are Post Strike damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). They have been both damaged by the environment. Worth face value only.
