My lates acquisition is an unlikely one, well for my style of collecting. I went to my local coin shop today and was given a gift by a friend. He said that he knew I was looking for a coin from england. Neither of us are sure if it is real, where exactly it is from, the year... really anything to be honest. I posted a topic in the help identifying a coin/token forum. I will show it to everyone in any case. The coin holder that it is in was labelled "England 1652"

With silver low, I wanted to pick up some more silver Washington quarters for my set. They were sold out in the bin. I could have picked from an album, but what's the fun in that?

So I grabbed this that had spoke to me before:

Just bought the 2013 P & D Native American dollars, the P & D Roosevelt dollars, the S-mint business strike Perry quarters and the 2013 P & D Roosevelt dimes. My 2013 collection is slowly getting up to date.

Already had the 2013 P&D Lincoln cents and Jefferson nickels. Just waiting for the 2013 Kennedy half dollars to be released next month.

I don't actually know if it's a new acquisition yet, or not. It's on its way to me on approval, so if it's not as nice as I hope it'll go back. But it'd be nice if it was a keeper, even though it's not a denomination I collect!

A sixpence (1/40th of £1 sterling) of Charles I of England from between 1647 and 1649 and struck under the authority of Parliament during the Civil War. Which makes it pretty much one of the last ever coins issued in Charles' name.

Looks like a well struck example - hope it's nice enough to keep

Just a standard 1840 rupee for me.

I haven't worked out the intricacies of the reverse variety yet.
