Love the Prussian big silver! This AR 1/12 Thaler of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel is dated 1775 IDB and features the usual leaping horse motif. The obverse has some damage (graffiti/scratches) but the reverse is mostly intact. This is a scarcer date in the series (which ran for over 25 years) and for less than $3 it earns a spot in my German States binder. I wonder if the German folks knew that within 5 years of this coin being struck, the entire world would be shaken up by some rebellious colonists...

Congrats on the Maundy set. I have always considered these an exceptional piece of history.

silver jeton from the 18th century France (not dated) issued by the corporation of wine merchants and tavern owners (taverniers), an influential club it seems. the legend around the wine cup on the obverse explains it all REGUM. MENSIS. ARISQUE. DEORUM (for the table of the king and the altar of God)
