Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 02/09/2022 6:54 pm I just received this big Bavarian 1778 H. ST silver thaler. It's in a nice, lightly circulated condition. There is a scratch in the right reverse field but the reverse is very clean and not beset with adjustment marks which seem to plague this issue. You can compare it to these coins of the same issue with serious reverse adjustment marks. The first on is in a PCGS MS-64 holder. So this die polishing, although not major, would make this WLB a minor variety, such as happens with Morgan dollars? It would make sense that the 1933S would have die polishing on some coins as San Francisco was the only mint producing silver halves in 1933. Report this Post to the Staff

More in the British acquistions coin thread. It cost just $10 Samoan 1 Tala coin with Captain cook, UNC from 1970 Jersey limited edition £5 coin for Queen Mothers 100th birthday, gold plated. 1929 GB Halfcrown in shined up g VF condition.
