This is a very nice assortment!

It's not about the expense, it's about the fun. This from a person who enjoys collecting worthless date nails form RRs

One of my collecting goals is to have at least one graded example of the types in my collection.

To date, I have graded examples of:

Peace dollar
Classic Comm (1936 Bay Bridge)
Modern Comm ( 95 Atlanta - Tennis ); ( 98 RFK )
ASE Bullion
ASE UNC
ASE Enhanced Uncir
ASE Proof
ASE RevProof

Lincoln Cent; Jeff Nickel; Merc & FDR Dimes; Wash Quarter; Franklin & JFK Half; Morgan; Ike. . .are the remaining targets. Wish me luck

I thought those date nails were Mercury dimes that had nails glued onto them (that you could hammer into a surface for a practical joke).

Nice pickups, macmercury, Slerk, NumisEd, GLB49 and cptbilly! And a very interesting display, Earle42! I never realized the RR used date nails. And as a teen I spent a lot of time walking the railroad tracks near the small town we lived in (usually looking for glass insulators from old power line poles that had been replaced along the track or odds and ends that had fallen off of trains, but sometimes just to have something to do...).
