While I found the devices looking interesting on this coin, if it were a doubled die, the hub doubling would affect the center design devices. I checked to see if any were different. So far on Wexler's listing they are all in the center of the designs. Interesting that many are looking in the wrong areas of the design for DDR's on these. Will have to make it a thread sometime soon.

Variety vista shows two DDR years for these dimes:

2016-P

Know where to look will help save a lot of time when searching these single squeeze varieties.

Those pics make it certainly look like a Struck Through Grease error. No doubled die, as it is Die Deterioration "doubling" though

Whet does it weigh? The depression running through Roosevelts head where the torch would be has me wondering about the possibility of a thin planchet. That depression can't be accounted for by a Grease Filled Die.

with Conder101. The recessed area center of obverse mimics the torch opposite. Might check the weight.

Would also check or rule out the edge and diameter for anything out of the ordinary. A Rim Fin or false rim seems present on both obverse and reverse. Respectively seems present on opposite ends of the coin. Thanks, Doug.

I don't have anything to weigh it at the moment, the digital scales I have won't go down that small. Here is a side shot to let you see the edge, when compared to another 2017 dime, it's edge is thicker than the normal dime.

A nice Greaser with what looks like some VERY major MD. I'd say it's a keeper for sure.
