Quote: They're like suicide for the eyes. Ouch! I admit that they are rather unsatisfying, but I just cannot hate them for it.

I wouldn't mind the Presidential dollars so much if they removed the writing from the edges and replaced the statue of liberty on the reverse to an eagle.

I have say while I agree with you on the edge lettering, I actually like the image of Liberty on the reverse.

least favorite: any State Quarter with an unoriginal outline of the state Disclaimer: I do actually like one state outline, Hawaii, just for the simple fact that it is a chain of islands and King Kamehameha is stretching his arm over his old kingdom so it a nice bit of symbolism. The rest are just boring

I, contrary to most, actually like the Anthony Dollars -- the eagle landing on the moon was a great design... My least favorite would have to be the Roosevelt dimes. Why did they ever get rid of the Mercury

I second that on the Roosevelt dime. From a collector's standpoint, I dislike the dime denomination in general due to its tiny size.

Design-wise ... the Florida quarter has the appeal of a linoleum floor in a kindergarten playroom. Even a Jackson Pollock painting has more of a design than this one! The Wisconsin quarter is my next-least-favorite one. Portrait-wise ... the Washington dollar looks like a token, not a coin. The edge lettering contributes to this blah design, although the Monroe dollar is more easy on the eye. SBA's were never my favorite portrait, either, but the overall design was pleasing.
