1986 P Quarter Multiple Errors? Help!

samboslice New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 12/02/2018 4:14 pm Hi my name is Sam, I am fairly new to coin collecting and extremely new to talking with others about coins online, however the time has come where I need help. The coin in question is a 1986 P quarter which has what appear to me to be several errors. Obviously the first and most striking error is the missing clad error. This appears to be confirmed seeing as how the quarter weighs in at only 5.4 grams. Another mistake that seemed to catch my eye is that the 6 in 1986 appears, in the right lighting to have an additional trailing 6 maybe even two. Meaning it would read 19866.... the last six(s) is also not in a perfect line with the rest of the date code being tilted down slightly. Please someone help. I think you have an Environmentally Damaged coin, which is Post Strike Damage ( PSD), if it is. If that's the case, then it's only worth face value. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff

At the low end, your coin is just about in spec. I tend to agree with E&V on this one.
