I came across this seller due to this stunning 1921-D Mercury dime with no mention of the "D" in the listing! As of right now, it is over $600 w/ 4 days to go.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/123549970454

Take a look at the stunning examples of all kinds of classic American coins this seller is listing!

The seller (kremlin_collector) is shipping from Houston; But these are all listed as "Siezed Russian Traitor Assets Up For Sale. 100% Real!".

Everything I looked at in his listings appears to be cleaned and/or whizzed.

Kinda reminds me of another Seller in Texas that has been frequently discussed around here.

Maybe they're related?

Ok, here's what they're saying. These coins must be legit, right?!

"Large Group of coins and collectibles purchased at a seized assets sale. The previous owner had their items sold due to tax evasion, although locals say the Russian businessman had questionable ties to the Kremlin.

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED GENUINE AND EXACTLY AS PICTURED!"

Nothing suspicious about a seller who knows enough to mention FSB, but not enough to mention the D mint mark.

Why don't you message him and ask?

A statement like this is shady:

The coin may be Genuine but the color doesn't look right to me.

Maybe the $600 bidder knows something we don't.

Doesn't the D looked punched? It looks like there is a divot around it.

Are you folks thinking of 1916-D instead? Because I don't see much astounding difference in price guide between 1921-P and 1921-D, like 4500 vs 4250 in MS64. I also noticed the D looking indented but a PCGS MS66 FB image the D is the same down to some die scratches.

The "Found in cigar box change" thing on all of them is pretty hokey, but it does make me wonder how much money laundering goes through coins. Seems like you'd just wander around coin shows with a suitcase full of cash and then "grandpa's collection" magically appears.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. In retrospect, there was nothing leading me there, I just went there. I need to get my head examined.

FYI just a quick sum in my head of current bids and seller has about 40 grand in "Russian Traitor Assets". And some new stuff from a "Doomsday Estate"!

I noticed that many of the coins that this seller has have the edges filed down smooth.

The seller's most recent ebay purchases (or feedback, at least) seem to come from another seller named "centsles" and I know that name for some reason (probably bad). A look at some of the coins offered by "centsles" gives me many doubts. This is all something to steer clear of to me.
