US Quarter Inside Of Kennedy Half - Coin Community Forum

richt56 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 12/28/2018 2:55 pm I have a Kennedy half that came apart when I dropped it. The part that confuses me is that inside the half was the reverse of a quarter. Only the reverse was inside not the obverse. Was this a mint mistake or did someone put this together. The reverse of a Kennedy half is ground down. Typically, another obverse is added to make a "two-headed" half dollar; this is the first I've seen with a quarter reverse hiding under the half reverse. Second, while the numismatic value was destroyed in the construction of this Magician's coin, there are folks who still make them (and others who buy them). I'd save it in a 2x2.
