Anyone know the weight range of clad Kennedy halves? Is this within tolerance?

Looks like spec range is 11.34 +/- 0.26 g and yours may be a little light.

Thanks Spence! I've been searching on this forum for the past hour and couldn't find that! Thanks! Now I'm trying to figure out why it's light.

The only thing that comes to mind is rolled thin stock. I can't tell if it has a weaker than normal strike because all Kennedy's look weakly struck to me.

Thanks spruett001. I can't tell either. I've search many boxes of halves. It was the "sound" that caught my eye (ear). The sound jumped out at me when it hit the pile. It sounds much tinny'er then the other halves. I thought it was a Magicians coin but it's not. I'll just hold in to it and research it during my travels.

Note: The reference found in the other topic (as well as some others) has a few typo's. One involves the clad half's tolerance.

1971 to date (excluding the Bicentennial 40% silver clad)
Weight: 11.340 grams
Tolerance: 0.454
Diameter: 30.61
Composition: 75 Cu, 25 Ni on pure CU

1976 (40% silver clad)
Weight: 11.500 grams
Tolerance: 0.400
Diameter: 30.61
Composition: 40% silver clad

So this coin is still slightly under weight. Just a little less than before mentioned. Thanks, Doug.

Yes the tolerance Spence posted was the tolerance for 90% silver halves from 1947 - 1964. (before 1947 it was even tighter +/- .097 grams)
