Just started studying coins recently. The breaks and doubling lines look questionable on top, but breaks on bottom letter E look very similar to actual DD example lines I've seen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think what your seeing is Die Deterioration, PMD (post mint damage). And circulation wear. no mint error and no varieties. The scrapes in the letters may make it appear that it is doubled, and the Die Deterioration around the letters and devices appears as faint doubling. IMHO, this one is a spender.

Could you post a complete photo of the memorial roof. I see some of the structure is missing. It appears l9ike start of a floating roof.
Also being a 1969 coin, very appropriate that under the A in America, it has a space capsule.

All I see is a lot of circulation damage,no DDR and no DDD. Look here to learn about all the types of doubling http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...Doubling.htm
Not a floating roof either.

I didn't say it was a floating roof. I said it looks like the start of how one could happen. I still have issues with the polished die causing the floating roof.
I also find it very coincidental that the earliest example of the floating roof just happens to be a 1969 LMC, same as this coin.

I have a 1964 somewhere that is a half floating roof. The left side is disconnected and the right side is barely connected.

Just a die event they go through. First you have it, then you don't.
