Has anybody ever heard of a 1910 S Wheat penny with a broken die on the back ? I bought this coin when I was 10 years old from a coin collector for my dad's book. I just recently got his old books out and seen the penny and was wondering or hoping I may have then only one in excenstince. Thanks for any input on this coin

to the CCF! No need to mention what is needed! We're all hoping you have a heckuva find! Since you bought that cent for your Dad as a little boy, that is a great story that you can pass down!

@HM, when I rotate, enlarge, and enhance your pic, it looks to me like you are talking about an issue on the top of the right wheat stalk. Is that right? From this one pic, it kinda looks like damage, but is pretty hard to tell. I think that you could immediately improve your picture if you took the cent out of the 2x2 before photographing it.

@HM, this is definitely not a website where someone will try to beat you down about a coin and then try to buy it from you for cheap. In fact, we have strict rules about how active someone must be here to either purchase or sell coins and you are no where near to that threshold.

Let's wait to see what others think about your coin. For now, with the pics that are available, I still think that this is most likely damage.

Lol, Well since I'm no where near your threshold status, I'll just tuck this so called damaged coin away for another 32 years. Sad when I had a reputable collector say yes this is a error of the mint and the coin is a valuable error coin since nobody has come forward about another one like it. I was really hoping for a more positive outcome but maybe my thresold status isn't good enough here , I think I'll just move on from this site. One bad apple ruins the whole basket ! Forums are all the same, if it's yours it's no good if it's mine it's a million dollar example ! Was hoping this site was better than the rest , I guess not !!
