Those who've followed some of my posts know that my wife supports me and the hobby that I've had for 50 years. I am celebrating 50 years of collecting this year! She's awesome and sometimes she just amazes me. I've been working on my Morgan set for years and I'm down to the lower mintage CC dollars and a couple of others. We were out antiquing today and while wondering through the aisle I came across a seller that had some nice coins with fair prices considering they have rent to pay there. Well while I was walking around little did I know that my wife was going back to that same seller and picking out coins she knew I'd like. Nothing special but she knows I love to VAM my Morgans and Peace dollars so this is the first item she selected. Granted not in a great grade but none the less I was certainly surprised.  My eyes about popped out of my head. Another one knocked off the list... I believe this to be a VAM 1 by the way. Then she handed me this..... Now I have loads of these but I always love Vamming them. This is VAM 2AH (Rusted Liberty Face).. NGC MS-63 (My pictures don't do it justice. Luster is amazing)  Then she just added these little ones next. Love them, Love her... Haven't stopped smiling all day...    She also knows I am kind of partial to 09-vdbs...      Edited by srs77

What a nice wife. I've been married for 44 years (same woman) and I have instructed my wife that under no circumstances is she to attempt to purchase collectibles for me as I know she'd get taken.

We've been together for 40 years. She goes to coin shows with me and antiques with me. She's truly a good egg... She's also knowledgeable enough to know what to look for. She's actually filled a lot of my key date coins. Below is a small list of what she's surprised me with. These were all bought at 'trusted' coin dealers that I work with all the time. They know her through me and are always very fair with her.
