Squashed in a vise with maybe a file on ones side and the reverse of another coin. The coin is PSD pretty much a spender if you can get someone to take it. Post strike damaged coins are just a face value coin. They are a mint error. If you bought a new truck and hit it with a sledge hammer, would that be considered a factory error?

Same for a after strike coin. They are not a mint error.

To CCF! Not an error, just Post Strike Damage ( PSD). It's worth face value.

You have already heard the correct answers - worth 1 cent if you can get someone to accept it.

I have added it this time, but you should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.
