That's what I thought, F-12 or so, this guy was trying to pass it off as a VF-25.

I agree, F-12 at best. It looks like a nice coin but even $220 seems to high to me. The August 2008 Coin Market retail guide shows that price for F-12 and that magazine usually gives high retail prices. This coin is not really that strong of a F-12.
Does it have a very slight rim bruise at 3:00 on the reverse?

He claimed that was a toning spot. Indeed, I'd probably offer 150 at most now. The guy either can't grade, can't take photos, is dishonest, or a combination of the three.

With your 3 concerns I would pass on the coin!

That's exactly what I did. The guy claimed it was a VF but the photo betrayed it, I said since it's not blurry there's no way that so much detail could go missing just because of the photo. Also said he couldn't take less than 320, SO I just figured I'd leave it at that.

Oh I am pretty sure if you offered him $300 he wouldn't balk at the deal!

This coin is a firm F12. Interestingly enough, I just got an email from an ebay member thanking me for grading Walkers accurately since so many sellers overgrade these. Many ebay sellers feel that if the date is sharp on these, it immediately becomes a VF coin. Obviously, this is simply not true. The other problem is that the TPG's support more lenient grading on the key dates, so this coin could very possibly come back from PCGS as a VF coin, though it actually isn't. By the way, I think $220 is a reasonable offer for this coin. Interest in Walkers is rising.

I like Walkers. I have a bunch of them. Nothing earth shaking. I am a long way from the point where I would pay this much for one. I guess I haven't slipped over the edge yet from accumulator to collector.
yet.......
The auction is ended, surprisingly fast after forum mom chimed in.

Leaning toward VG10. Possibly F12.
