Maybe from China first guess. Could also be from Viet Nam. Others will weigh in as well.

Actually it is from Korea (prior to about 1892). These were cast like Chinese coins, but there were many agencies that issued them and each had different symbols. So we will need the weight and clear pictures to narrow it down.

This could be Korea, Military Training Command only because some characters do match, and many variations are not shown in catalogs.
However it's in such bad shape on one side it's hard to be certain. I brightened the photos for my own use.
Also search images for: Sang Pyeong Tong Bao

Here is some more help about your coin. This one concerns the Five Elements and dates from 1752.
