Ricky Tobasco is now claiming that 2018 reverse proof half dollar are "ultra rare". Those are his words. This guy has no credibility at all.

It all depends on your definition of "ultra rare" I suppose, but 200,000 coins that 99.99% won't go into circulation that's plenty enough coins for those that want one.

Ultra rare should probably be under a 100 in a market with very heavy demand and maybe 3-5 if it's a cool or cold market.

jimbucks never heard of a Ricky Tobasco before? Am I missing something?

Some name he made up for him instead of using the guys real name. Whether or not someone likes how a series expert is selling things they should at least use their real name in my opinion.

I personally like Rick Tomaska. In fact I own his signed cameo half dollar book. As for his use of words, which I heard while watching the same show late at night, for a Kennedy half collector the reverse proof is rare based on the mintage numbers of the series as a whole. And there are those who will pay big money for them soon enough. Not myself, just saying.
