I was setting up to do a little inspecting of coins and as I was bringing out the microscope, the dog decided she had to get in my way going after some dog food she left on the floor...Tried to catch myself so I didn't hurt her, dropped the darn thing and now the screen is dead, Oh well, I needed an excuse to upgrade anyways. Dog is OK, she is outside with a bone.

For a minute I thought you threw it at the dog.

But on the other hand, what digital microscope do people use to view coins?

That stinks! Anyways, what type type of digital microscope do you want to buy? The one I use is a Plugable USB microscope. It only cost 35.95 and it works great for a cheap microscope. 262361512520

Quote: But on the other hand, what digital microscope do people use to view coins? I have or had the Andonstar ASDM302. It is a good little microscope, and it captured good pictures. A little (or a lot) expensive. Before I buy a new one, I need to set my home office up for working on my coins instead of my kitchen counter, that way I can buy something I can connect to my computer.

It's funny because on dogs.com I saw this post:
My owner gets so interested in coins sometimes. Today, I was trying to get some food on the floor (you know that's a priority) and here they come carrying some fancy dohickey thing and just about flatten me. Luckily they felt so bad about it that I got a bone and got to go outside.
Glad everyone is ok; items are easily replacable.

On the bright side, you do have an interesting story to go with it.

...and over on digitalstuffforum.com I ran across the following entry: Quote: 01010011 01101111 01101101 01100101 01110100 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01101000 01100001 01110000 01110000 01100101 01101110 01100101 01100100 00101110 00100000 01001101 01100101 00100000 01100010 01110010 01101111 01101011 01100101 00101110 00100000 01000100 01101111 01100111 00100111 01110011 00100000 01100110 01100001 01110101 01101100 01110100 00100001 Funny how these things spread across the web.

I hope I'm not the only one that immediately went to the binary to text translator.
