Available for purchase May 14, the annual 2019 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set® makes a great introductory set for new collectors. You'll get two folders of 10 coins each—one with coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint and the other with coins from the Denver Mint. Each folder contains the Native American $1 Coin, Kennedy half dollar, five America the Beautiful Quarters, Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel, and Lincoln penny—all featuring a distinctive satiny finish.
This is the final U.S. Mint Annual Set to ship with a special edition Lincoln Penny. The 2019 Uncirculated Coin Set comes with an exclusive "W" uncirculated penny from the West Point Mint. Collect all three !Hopefully the circulation strike W-mint cents will be nice!

I usually do not get mint sets, so I am not enrolled, but I will get one this year for the W cent.

Man, I thought they ended the Satin Finish in 2010? Where's my pitchfork and torch?

Interesting if the satin thing is true, but I hope that it's not. If it is, I've lost count of how many different quarter varieties there will be this year.

Yeah, the "distinctive satiny finish" gave me pause also. Can't they just strike 'em normal?

Exactly. Just strike them normally with new dies and don't allow them to contact each other.

Who can tell me the most recent date a mint set's current value is higher than issued from the mint? For clarity, I mean a standard mint set, not a commemorative set or otherwise.

The most recent sales on ebay for the 2017 Mint Set are $32.50, $34.45, $39.99, $33.99, $39.95, $32.50 and $29.49. The original issue price was $20.95, so I'd say that the 2017 is the most recent. The 2018 sets are still for sale.

I ordered my mint sets today, so I'll let everyone know about the finish if I get them first. I'm betting (and hoping) that it's the same old brilliant finish.

Ordered on Tuesday and mine hasn't shipped yet. Annoying. Also the mint website didn't mention a satin finish on the coins on the listing so possibly the information on this thread is wrong? I dunno. Fairly certain they were finished with satin on mint set coins after 2010 because people didn't like it.
