That doesn't exist for that year. It only exist on the 1946 S.

well it sure doesn't look like mms-008 (used for 1969) IMO..does look like mms-006 inverted, but you have to ask yourself.."How did a mint worker get a hold of a mint mark stamp that has not been used since 1946, and if it is mms-006 why was this not discovered earlier?".....that's all I can say...sorry no answer here..

Edited: and it doesn't look like any rpms on VV

David, there are other dates with an inverted S. The 1910 S is one that comes to mind.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.
