Picking through a bag of Morgans ($20 apiece), I found this. How did I do? What grade would you give it?

Vf20 but the surfacea look completely mark free for a well circulated coin. Have you weighed it? If authentic it's worth $250 smackers.

Anytime you find a Carson City Morgan in a bag of $20 generics you do great. It has VF detail and looks to be a cleaned piece with some rim damage. I would value it around $150.

Mid-VF, about 25. A couple of rim bumps, but I don't think they would draw a detail.
Heck of a steal.

You did great. $20 for a CC Morgan? Why wouldn't you. Plenty of upside, very little downside.

VF-25, hard to beat a CC Morgan at that price!

Fantastic find! Authentic 1892-CC, VAM-2. I'm not seeing enough detail on the hair above the forehead and over the ear or on the cotton leaves and blossoms to push the obverse over F-15\. The reverse is sharper, but has just too much wear on the eagle's upper and outer right wing (our visual left) to make VF-20. IMHO, this is a solid, eye-appealing F-15 coin (old school F/VF). There is at the most only a $10-15 swing from F-15 to VF-20, so the dividing line won't matter much. Given the relative scarcity of the date, it might be worth an ANACS slab to attract VAM collectors. It's nice to know exciting finds still exist! Thanks for sharing this one with us.

I wish I could find 1892-CC (or any CC) Morgans in $20 bins. It's worth 10-15x what you paid for it. I would go F15.
